 Medically, it has been proven that patients who were bedridden over a long period responded better to treatment after engaging in some form of physical exercise than when they were lying in bed inactive. But, that is just an aspect of fitness that we are talking about. One must not wait until a disease brings them to the hospital bed to make them lay for a long time before they may see the need to keep fit.

You probably have tried to catch up with a child running towards danger, and you start breathing hard that your heart starts to ache. This situation can be so uncomfortable and may lead to a heart attack. Heart attack is one of the primary causes of death among today’s aging population. And many heart problems can be traced to the lack of fitness.

After knowing why you should keep fit and the importance, it is now time to know how to keep fit. Yes, everyone has this idea about how to keep themselves fit. But, is keeping fitness hitting the gym every day to work on your physique? Well, maybe part of it. Sometimes you see one with a big chest and arm after pumping so hard at the gym, developing intimidating looks. Some of them even use steroids to have that kind of physique. Then comes something, let’s say, an encounter that demands physical challenge. After a prolonged period, they start gasping for air. Almost giving up, and if an ambulance does not rush to their aid or a paramedic closer to help them out, they will give up. So, I pose the question to you; would you call such a person fit? I don’t know your answer, but I can guess it is the same answer I would give, and it is; No! They aren’t fit. They’re only prioritizing their cosmetic looks against fitness that have everything to do with their health. Ok, enough with the talking already, let’s see how to keep ourselves fit.

Eating clean and healthy food:  Avoiding junky food will go a long way to helping us keep to a proper fitness routine as our system would be free from all the unhealthy ways with which these foods are made. However, it may be difficult to avoid junk given that they are quickly served. Even so, we must endeavor to cook ourselves properly and healthy meals regularly.

  2. Going for a regular check-up: Before embarking on any fitness routine, we should seek advice from health professionals. And going for regular check-ups will help the health care professionals to detect any abnormalities that could cause significant issues.

  3. Exercise regularly: Individuals interested in keeping fit must commit to exercising regularly to improve the heart’s health and help them burn cholesterol.

  4. Sleeping early: Keeping to early bed schedules gives the body the needed rest it deserves before entering into labor again.

  5. Subscribing to a Jim program: If you need to achieve your fitness goal through physical exercise faster, then subscribe to a gym. You will find people with the same goal in the gym, motivating you to succeed quicker.



  1. Meditation: You can meditate privately or in a group as Yoga classes. Meditation brings balance and coordination to the body, which relieves stress.
